Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Blan (“the App”) is a time-blocking planner developed by Nixes (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the App uses, what may leave your device, and the choices you have.

1. No account

The App does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number to use it.

2. Information stored on your device

Your plans, blocks, checklists, templates, block types, history and settings are stored on your device. Deleting the App deletes them. They may be included in your device backups, which are handled by Apple.

3. Information that may leave your device

AI features. When you use the App’s AI features, the App sends the information those features need to our servers and, from there, to third-party AI service providers. This can include a request you type or say, the plan it should change, the titles, times and lengths of calendar events you choose to import (only after you allow it), and summaries of how you spent your time, such as time per block type (never your checklist items). We do not store the content of these requests on our servers. Our providers process it only to provide the service to us.

Service protection and usage limits. The App uses Apple’s App Attest to show our servers that it is a genuine copy of the App. Our servers keep a key for your installation and count its requests to apply fair-use limits. This key is not linked to your name or Apple Account. Like most online services, our servers and network providers record technical details of requests, such as their time and IP address, for security and troubleshooting.

Purchases. Payments are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details. A subscription management service receives a record of your purchases and subscription status, linked to an anonymous identifier, so the App knows which features are available to you.

Speech. If you use the microphone in the App, your speech is converted to text using Apple’s speech recognition, on your device where possible. The App does not record or keep audio.

Usage and diagnostics. We may use analytics and diagnostics services to understand how the App is used, to fix problems and to improve it. These do not receive the content of your plans or checklists.

Support. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you send. Emails written from the App include your app version, iOS version and device model.

4. Permissions

You can change these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings. You can turn off sending calendar event titles to the AI service in the App’s Settings, under Calendar.

5. What we don’t do

6. Data retention

We keep the limited information described above only for as long as needed to provide, secure and improve the App, or as required by law.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict its processing. Because the App has no accounts, we hold very little information that identifies you. To make a request, contact us at the address below.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
